Social Sticker – Tutorial

The social part of your website is what makes it active. Wouldn’t it be nice to have some interesting looking social buttons? If you are into that stuff, than you came to the right place. Today I am showing you a way to create a sticker-like social icon, that hopefully will catch your reader’s eyes.
To start things off, create a new square composition with the width off 500px and a transparent background. Now add a circle with the width and height of 500px and colour accordingly. This will be the actual sticker base. Now add the logo of the social icon. For the tutorial sake I will be using twitter`s logo. We are almost done. The only thing we need to do is to create the flap of the sticker. To do that grab the polygonal lasso tool and make an triangle selection in the lower-right part of the circle and right click on it and select “Layer Via Copy” as in the image bellow:

Now we need to rotate the flap 180 degrees. To do that press Command and T if you are on OS X or Ctrl and T if you are on Windows, drag the mouse out of the selection square then holding the Shift key rotate the flap until it`s facing the opposite direction. To make the flap look like it`s actually there, enter in the layer option by double clicking on the layer tile and go to gradient. Modify the first colour of the gradient to a light grey like #D7D7D7 and the other one to white, then change the angle of the gradient to 135° and you are all done.
